Buck N’ Broncs Hosts Ribbon Cutting

Belle Fourche News Other Local News

BELLE FOURCHE—The New Year kicked off with a sudsy new splash as Buck NBroncs Car Wash celebrated its opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony on the afternoon of January 7.

Locals got a firsthand look at the new system with free automatic car washes from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

In just seven months from groundbreaking to opening day, the event was a welcomed milestone. We have been open for about five to six weeks,” explained Chris Bergman, owner. We started in April and finished at the end of November.”

The opening of the Buck NBroncs Car Wash marks the fourth carwash to be opened by Bergman and his wife Tylea. We started in May of 2020—we just saw a need for it in Sturgis, and kind of started there. And then in September of 2020 the one in Rapid became available, and then we built the one in Spearfish and opened that in February of 2023, and then opened Belle Fourche on November 20, 2025,” shared Bergman.

Two of the carwashes the Bergmans built are notably named after the high school mascots. They did that on purpose. Sturgis is called Scooptown in honor of the Sturgis Brown High School Scoopers, and Belle Fourche Buck NBroncs is named in honor of the Belle Fourche High School Broncs. Both are designed and painted with the school colors as well. Scooptown is red and black, while Buck NBroncs is purple and white.

We’re big supporters of the athletic departments,” explained Bergman. We do invest in a lot of that—kids and youth sports. We really like supporting that stuff!”

The carwash is open 24/7 but is only staffed during daytime hours. You can find touchless automatic stalls, a pet wash, self-service bays, and vacuums.

Bergman and his wife keep busy opening car washes and running their other businesses while raising their four children. They have four kids under the age of six! Bailey is six, Harley is four and a half, Chet is three, and Kip is one and a half.

The family really enjoys getting to know the Belle Fourche community. It’s been great—its been super great! Everybody’s been very supportive. We just love what we do and love seeing clean cars and smiling faces,” Bergman said.
