Revolver plays live tunes for the crowd.

Hometown Thursdays in Full Swing

Belle Fourche News Events

It was another successful Thursday night in Belle Fourche at the Tri-State Museum & Visitor Center for the yearly Hometown Thursdays. The series kicked off on June 5 and serves as a community staple in Belle Fourche during summer months.

Every week, local bands play live music and people gather to hang out and have fun. Local vendors and food trucks line the area behind the museum. Kids can participate in craft-making, a bouncy house, and train rides. Cornhole, disc golf, and other lawn games are set up to play.

This week’s band providing live entertainment was Revolver. They played covers of classic rock songs and had the crowd dancing and singing along. Food trucks included PooterQ, Rolling in the Hills, Black Hills Brats, Quesadilloz, and Kona Icees. The kids’ craft-making project was coloring sheets and Hawaiian leis, and visitors could sign up for a Tri-State Museum Family Membership giveaway. Local business vendors set up booths selling items like jewelry and clothing.

“We try and do the bounce house and arts and crafts every Thursday night,” said Jada Udager, Collections Archivist. “One of these Thursdays, I don’t know which one we’re going to do it yet, we’re going to have stick horse races.” Udager explained that 96 stick horses from Pete’s Clothing were recently donated. “Some of them, we’re selling because they were autographed by the actors for The Cowboys. And then I have a bunch more to have stick horse races, we’re gonna do kids and then we’re gonna do some families,” she said.

The next Hometown Thursday will be July 17 with Stereo Trip providing the live music. Hometown Thursdays will run through the second week in August. Come to the museum, grab a delicious meal or snack, and have fun!
