NEWELL—One of the highlights of every school year is Junior Prom. The students at Newell High School celebrated the yearly formal all dressed up in glamorous gowns and sharp tuxedos for an unforgettable evening.
On Friday evening, April 17, the junior class transformed the Austin Auditorium into an Evening on the Bayou.
The Grand March, beginning at 7 p.m., was an opportunity for all the participants and their dates to be introduced and walk through the Bayou showing off their finest prom attire and evening wear.
From light pinks to bright purples and deep navy and reds, the gals were gorgeous. Donning tuxedos, suits and ties or bow ties, the gentlemen did not disappoint. Suits and dresses were topped off with brightly colored corsages and boutonnieres.
Reigning over the evening were the 2026 Prom royalty, King Orrin Youngberg and Queen MKenzie McTaggart.
