11th Annual Rec Center Track & Field Meet

The Belle Fourche Rec Center hosted its 11th annual Track & Field meet for K-6th grade kids. Seventy kids competed, with 53 of them participating in three days of group practices prior to the meet.

The purpose of the program is to give the kids an introduction to track and field, improve fitness and provide physical activity in a fun environment. The meet was held on Tuesday, May 26 @ 5:30 pm.

Participants could choose up to 3-events, which included a softball throw, standing long jump, 50m, 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, and 1600m run. The meet concluded with a fun 4x100m relay.
