The Hitching Post Tap House teamed up with Belle Flowers & Co. to host a Plants & Pints event on Friday, July 25. Fifteen rounds of bingo were played, and the winner of each round of bingo got to pick out a free plant and drink a free pint of beer. The tables were full of eager contestants! The entry fee for each player was $35, and there were 38 total entries.
This was the first time Belle Flowers has done a plant bingo event. “We did a boutique bingo before, but we’re stepping up our plant game and we had over 200 varieties,” said Brittany Wilkinson, Owner of Belle Flowers & Co. “Right now, we’re in our transition period with the boutique, and we’re trying to get rid of summer and trying to get into fall stuff. So I just had a bunch of extra room, and I ordered direct from like 15 wholesalers. And so we’ve been gradually growing our plant section, and they’ve been doing really well for us.”
Wilkinson hopes to bring business to downtown Belle Fourche. “That’s my main goal, like, even if they don’t stop with me, as long as they’re downtown and spending money and having fun with friends and family, that’s all I care about,” she said.
