Dinosaur Gift Shop Offers Fun Christmas Shopping

Belle Fourche News Other Local News

BELLE FOURCHE—So many fun ways to shop are offered in the Belle Fourche area. This past weekend Dinosaurs of the Hell Creek Museums Gift Shop, Expedition Outpost, hosted a Holiday Shopping Extravaganza on November 22.

Even though the turnout was smaller than expected due to the scheduled food truck backing out last minute and a few vendors failing to show, spirits remained high among those that did set up.

In the side room several vendors lined the walls. Pretty Baked Home Bakery had fresh baked goods for sale, Designs by Kalei offered creative design stickers, Crazy Train Creations had 3D printed designs, and Crowned Free set up a booth. There was also a delicious hot chocolate bar to enjoy.

It is a great time to buy your annual museum passes for next year as they are on sale! Ginger Eiss, gift shop manager, said, We have everything on sale! There is no admission to come and shop at the gift shop!”

If you have a dino enthusiast in your family, you are running out of time to shop for unique, fun Christmas presents! The gift shop and museum will be closing soon. We kind of go into hibernation mode from December 1 through March 31—so by April 1 we’ll be back open again to our general admission,” explained Walter Stein, owner. Well still be open for tour groups, schools, anything by appointment and that kind of thing.”

The parent company of Dinosaurs of the Hell Creek Museum, PaleoAdventures, had a successful summer. We take people on tours, for the most part, we doubled our tour capacity last year and we still sold out! We get people from all over the world for the tours,” shared Stein. We got a lot of skeletons that we’re working on, a lot of new discoveries from this summer that we put together—and so this winter will be very, very busy!”

The next big event to look for will be the day after Thanksgiving—Black Friday! Next weekend we have another Black Friday sale—10 to 30% off for the Black Friday deals, and we’ll have a silent auction table set up. We will also have live auctions on Facebook—follow the Facebook page or my PaleoAdventures page—weve been doing an annual 12 Days of Christmas auction on the PaleoAdventures Facebook page—we have done that for 15 years,” explained Stein.
