BC Sheriff, Fred Lamphere, ended the meeting by going over data that the Sheriffs Office has collected for January 1st through September 30, 2025.  There was a lot of interested in what he had to share.  Butte County is a big county so they cover a lot of miles. 147,962 miles to date for the sheriff and deputies. Sheriff Lamphere stressed, Illegal drugs and associated crimes remain the most prevalent issues in Butte County.  The Sheriffs Office collaborates with the state and federal agencies to combat these challenges.  Despite enforcement efforts, new groups often emerge to replace those apprehended”.
