BELLE FOURCHE—If you are traveling in to Belle Fourche from the South on Highway 85, it is hard to miss the new building that is going up. It is a large project being built by SL Builders, the husband and wife team of Scott and Leslie Creed.
Work on the project began in early August and is moving right along. Scott said he expects to have the project finished by January 1, 2026 and hopes the new build will bring more businesses to Belle Fourche.
The building is being constructed to house a variety of different businesses. “It’s got six spaces, and then one of the spaces is already going to be three different businesses,” explained Scott. “They are basically 1,600-square-foot bays—some are breaking up—and some are just staying 1,600 square feet.” Each unit also has a bathroom.
A few of the sections have been claimed with tentative plans to house a new hair salon, a new meat store, and a new real estate agency.
According to Scott there are four units still available and they are actively looking for businesses who are looking to move locations or start up a new company. There are different options available on the units including one with an overhead door. “There is one with a back door, so it could be a business for somebody that needs a warehouse with shipping and receiving or something like that, or maybe a small construction company could use that and park a truck inside or something,” explained Scott.
The Creed family moved from San Diego, CA to the Belle Fourche area in 2016. Scott brings with him extensive experience. “I’ve been in underground pipeline for 35 years, and we do pretty much anything as far as utilities go. I am also a builder and I was a developer at Hat Ranch,” shared Scott. “My other company is called Creed Properties and we built and put in all the new roads and everything at Hat Ranch.”
If you are looking for a new home for your business, now is a great time to get in on this new space. SL Builders are able to make changes and finish your complete build out while construction is ongoing.
