NEWELL—As summer comes to an end, plans for an exciting new school year are ramping up. The first day of the new school year begins August 18, 2025 for the Newell School District. Many activities are happening before then.
Newell School District is inviting all students and parents to an open house on August 14 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Along with meeting new teachers, old teachers finding new classroom and lockers, other opportunities abound!
Students in grades 5 through 12 that are interested in participating in band this year will have the opportunity to get their instruments at the open house as Haggerty’s Music will be there! Students will be able to rent instrument from them that evening.
The Newell FFA will be on hand during the open house to provide information to anyone interested in joining the club this year.
The first football practice of the season was held August 11. And school registration was finished over two days earlier in the week—August 11 and 12.
As you can see, Newell school is off to a good start before it has even started!
