It was another successful year for the Belle Fourche High School Rodeo team at the State Finals rodeo in Pierre, SD, June 17-21. The BFHS rodeo team won the Buster Berry Team Trophy for the third year in a row.

 

Saddle Bronc:

Taiten Eaton, Saint Onge, 3rd place

 

Team Roping:

Jet Jensen, Belle Fourche, 1st place/State Champion heeler

Koby Bowden, Belle Fourche, 3rd place header

Jory Olson, Belle Fourche, 3rd place heeler

 

Goat Tying:

Syd Pelster, Belle Fourche, 3rd place

LuKayzee Brink, Newell, 4th place

 

.22 Light Rifle/Small Bore:

Joshua Main, State Champion

Lydia Main, Reserve Champion

 

Trap Shooting:

Tacen Carr, Reserve Champion

 

All contestants who ended State in the top 4 will continue on to compete at the National High School Finals Rodeo in Rock Springs, WY from July 13-19. Congratulations to the Belle Fourche area qualifiers and good luck at Nationals!
