Belle Fourche Wins Third Consecutive Buster Berry Trophy at State HS Rodeo

It was another successful year for the Belle Fourche High School Rodeo team at the State Finals rodeo in Pierre, SD, June 17-21. The BFHS rodeo team won the Buster Berry Team Trophy for the third year in a row.

Saddle Bronc:

Taiten Eaton, Saint Onge, 3^rd place

Team Roping:

Jet Jensen, Belle Fourche, 1^st place/State Champion heeler

Koby Bowden, Belle Fourche, 3^rd place header

Jory Olson, Belle Fourche, 3^rd place heeler

Goat Tying:

Syd Pelster, Belle Fourche, 3^rd place

LuKayzee Brink, Newell, 4^th place

.22 Light Rifle/Small Bore:

Joshua Main, State Champion

Lydia Main, Reserve Champion

Trap Shooting:

Tacen Carr, Reserve Champion

All contestants who ended State in the top 4 will continue on to compete at the National High School Finals Rodeo in Rock Springs, WY from July 13-19. Congratulations to the Belle Fourche area qualifiers and good luck at Nationals!
