Marlene Albertson, 77 passed away March 9th, 2024 at the Hospice House in Rapid City, surrounded by her family.
Marlene was born to Bob and Mavis Symonds in Sturgis on October 22nd of 1946. She earned her G.E.D. in Sturgis in 1965.
Marlene retired from Fort Meade in Sturgis as a ward clerk. She loved to spend her free time cooking, baking, crafting, and watching QVC. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Marlene blessed the lives of her sons: Kody Spaulding, Kacee Spaulding, and Robert Laymon; her grandchildren: Spencer Spaulding, Blaine Wall, Aubreau Mitchell, Reno Olvera, and Cody Olvera; Greatgrandchildren: Bentley, Emma, Vivien, Nova, James, Jayce, Jerzie-Kay, Sam, Odie, Ever, Ravlyn, Cove, Leonidas, Athena, Remy, and Adilyne; her sister, Marilyn Sass; her niece and nephews: Rhonda Bohn, Ryan Symonds, and Todd Dow; sister-in-law Robin Symonds; and brother-in-law Dick Sass.
She was preceded in death by grandparents: Stella and Harvey Fitzgerald and Louis and Pearl Symonds; her parents Bob and Mavis Symonds; and brother Robert H. Symonds.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may made to help the family with funeral expenses.
