NEWELL—On Friday, November 10, the Newell Lion’s Club organized a delicious pancake supper at the NVN Senior Center, drawing people from all over the community. The event served as a fundraiser for the Newell Community Club. Pancakes, eggs, sausage, and biscuits & gravy were served for a free-will donation. The evening also included a silent auction, with items ranging from gift baskets and gift cards to locally-produced wine and other goods.
The event left both hearts and stomachs full as the community came together to support a worthy cause. The funds raised from the pancake supper will be directed towards the Newell Community Club’s grandstand fund, a project that aims to renovate the grandstands at the Newell rodeo grounds. The Newell Lion’s Club has long been a pillar of the community, tirelessly organizing events and initiatives aimed at uplifting the town.
