Sheriff Fred Lamphere, Special to the Beacon
The Black Hills Roundup will have a Man Up Crusade night again during the Black Hills Roundup. July 1st will be date of the Man Up event. Man Up is a program bringing awareness to domestic violence. This will be the third year of partnership with the BHR and we have been gaining momentum. 100 percent of all the funds raised will be redistributed to the Artemis House Domestic shelter. It is the shelter that is used in Northwest South Dakota.
There will be a booth with staff from the Artemis House and the Butte County Sheriff’s Office.
They will have handouts and literature about Domestic Violence and resources for families in need of assistance.
The Butte County Sheriff’s Office is doing a mailing campaign as a fundraiser and there will raffle tickets being sold on July 1st at the booth before and during the rodeo.
There will be another Gist custom Belt Buckle and a Bullfighter jersey.
Please help support the Man Up Crusade against Domestic Violence.
