BUTTE COUNTY—The Butte County Lincoln Day dinner was held Saturday April 25th at the Silver Spur Ranch off SD Highway 34 adjacent Robinson Road on western edge of the county.
The over 220 attendees gathered at the politically adorned venue for a social hour of meet and greet. The party faithful then enjoyed a delicious roast beef dinner prepared by the capable crew of the Branding Iron Steakhouse.
Butte County Republican Party chair Tom Brunner and Belle Fourche Chamber of Commerce director Michaela Horn gave welcoming remarks.
Governor Rhoden gave the invocation and Erica Douglas led all in the Pledge of Allegiance and sang a beautifully the National Anthem.
The party faithful then enjoyed a delicious roast beef dinner prepared by the capable crew of the Branding Iron Steakhouse.
A Pie and Dessert auction followed the dinner. Final tally was not available at press time, but funds raised from the auction will be used for the Republican candidates in the November General Election.
The evening’s keynote speaker was the newly elected Chairwoman of the South Dakota College Republicans, Serenity Johnson. She along with several other College Republican members were in attendance.
Following Serenity’s speech candidates from top to bottom were each allowed an allotted time to speak.

We had also representation from Pennington County GOP, Meade County GOP, Lawrence County GOP
Additionally, many other officials from South Dakota also including Wyoming Speaker of the house, Chip Neiman.
Following the candidate remarks and to finish of the fine evening Prize drawings and a 5-Hat Firearms Prize packages live auction were held.
