Hometown Thursdays Come to an End

BELLE FOURCHE—After a summer filled with music, friends, family and food trucks, the last Hometown Thursdays is upon us! For ten weeks in a row the Belle Fourche community was given a gift of ten different musical acts. The week of August 7th has brought about the final musical performance for the summer.

Dakota Country entertained a large crowd on the final evening. Lawn chairs and picnic tables lined the park at the Tri-State Museum and provided seating for the gathering. A few couples couldn’t stay seated as the music played and found themselves tearing up the dance floor.

Children were invited to participate in a bouncy house. It was a busy place.

Food trucks were set up on the outer rim of the park. PooterQ and Rollin in the Hills provided delicious food for the evening.

A fundraiser known as a 50/50 drawing was ongoing throughout the evening. Proceeds this week went to benefit the Belle Fourche Out of the Darkness Community Walk that is scheduled for September 20, 2025.

The Tri-State Museum will now begin to transition back into fall and winter after a hectic summer season.  “We will be going back into our normal hours after Labor Day weekend,” shared Jada Udager, Collections Archivist.
