BELLE FOURCHE – The Global Methodist Church in Belle Fourche welcomed community members for the annual World Day of Prayer, a cherished tradition that has been observed for 25 years.

Originally reorganized in 2000 by a dedicated group of 11 women, the event continues to bring people together in faith and fellowship. This year’s gathering centered around the theme “I Made You Wonderful,” a message shared by the sisters of the Cook Islands. The service emphasized gratitude, unity, and the beauty of God’s creation, encouraging attendees to reflect on their own faith journeys. Throughout the ceremony, music was performed by The Pickers, adding a uplifting atmosphere to the event.

Participants engaged in prayers for peace, healing, and strength, joining a movement around the globe of believers who observe this special day. The inspiring theme served as a reminder of each person’s divine worth, fostering a spirit of encouragement and renewal among those present.

As the service concluded, attendees enjoyed a time of fellowship over a shared lunch, exchanging stories and strengthening connections within the community. Organizers expressed gratitude for the continued support of World Day of Prayer and look forward to many more years of this meaningful tradition.
