Arthur died suddenly on May 5, 1999.  Shortly after, Annita moved into Belle Fourche, where she would live her remaining years.  For seven years she lived at Belle Estate; for 3 years at Judy’s Assisted Living Center; and for the past several months she has been a resident at Rolling Hills.

Annita is survived by her children: Vicky (Mark) Thiel of Belle Fourche, Doug (Jan) Persche of Belle Fourche, Michael (Brenda Snyder) Persche of Belle Fourche; 6 grandchildren: Kyle Persche, Trent (Erin) Persche, Travis Persche, Trevor (Alie) Thiel, Kerbi (Ryan) Bowden, Tyler (Britta) Thiel; and 7 great grandchildren: Kayde, Hadley, Rance, Koby, Odessa, Bristol, and Bryer.  She is also survived by Tanya Pierce and her son Christopher of Spearfish, whom she was very close to.
