NEWELL-A combined City and School election will determine a new mayor and three positions on the Newell School Board.
Candidates for Mayor are incumbant Ken Wetz and Tara Tennis.
Newell School Board candidates are Tyrel Bonnet, currently Board President, Randy Oliver who was appointed recently to fill a vacancy, Kristen Bonefield, Amber Erk, and Karl Hoyal.
There will be a Candidate Forum, hosted by WIT, will be Tuesday, April 2 in the Newell City Hall beginning with a social time with refreshments amd the forum beginning at 6 pm.
Each candidate will have time for brief statements explaining their ideas for running for positions.
The combined election will take place Tuesday, April 9,

Ken Wetz has been working hard to get out town in better status from previous commissions. Please vote for Ken, he has lived here for many, many years and has been a big supporter of our community.
Please consider Amber Erk and Kristen Bonefield as school board members. They both have childrenn in the Newell School District and care deeply for our younger generaton. We need good, level-headed, conservative board members monitoring our school system.
