The Exchange, LLC, a facility primarily for the enjoyment of teenagers has opened at 930 Harding Street. The building was previously an Antique Store (approximately 7 years ago) and prior to that, it was believed to be the Legion Club. The downstairs continues to have the bar, old coolers, and a few other remnants of the Legion days, making it a unique set up for its current use.
The main level is an open space now containing pool games, air hockey, foosball, TV, and other games. The downstairs contains the concession and lounging area, facetiously now named “The Flood Zone.” The opening of The Exchange offers our teens an alternative on the weekends, as they are generally open Thursdays – Saturdays from 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM. The games are not coin operated, so there is a $5.00 cover charge and of course a wide variety of concessions. The Exchange is planning to have occasional special events such as open mic night, karaoke, and maybe dances. They also will book private parties at times when they are not opened to the teens.
