BELLE FOURCHE—For the fifth year in a row Wells Plumbing and Farm Supply had a day just to honor their customers!
On Friday, April 25 Wells Plumbing opened its doors and invited anyone who has visited them in the past or present to come for a day of appreciation and look through the store and shop. Bill Jewett, Owner explained, “We try to do this once a year, just to tell our customers we appreciate them.”
The business offered up a hardy meal for anyone stopping by. Fried chicken, green beans, dinner rolls, macaroni salad and just about any kind of potato one could want—mashed potatoes with gravy, wedges and potato salad—along with a variety of drinks. Lynn’s Dakotamart made the food for the occasion.
Wells Plumbing and Farm Supply has a long history in Belle Fourche, opened in 1948 by Jack Wells. It was taken over by Alan Wells in the early 70s before finding its new home with Jewett. “We took over in 2019, I worked for Alan since 2005,” he shared.
It is a special day for the store, wanting the consumers, new and old, to know how important they are to the future of the business. Jewett said, “We would just like to tell our customers thank you and we sure appreciate them!”
