Belle Flowers & Co. hosted a creative and fun-filled Sip, Paint, & Plant event on Saturday afternoon, April 12. Tickets were sold out as twelve participants got to paint a terracotta pot using acrylic paints, sip on wine and soda, and enjoy a store-wide 20% discount. After completing their terracotta pot designs, customers picked out one six-inch plant or several four-inch plants to house in the pot. All materials including the pots, paints, and soil plus the wine and soda were included with the price of the tickets.
“I think I was just getting antsy for spring and planting,” said Brittany Wilkinson, Owner. “So I was like, it’s too early to plant anything outside, but we can plant plants!”
Local artist Alexandra Hansen helped Wilkinson decide to use acrylic paints for the terracotta pots. “I got her professional expertise on what type of paint to buy for them,” said Wilkinson.
Upcoming events at Belle Flowers this month include a Bloom Bar on April 25 and a May Day Bouquet event on April 30. Belle Flowers will also host a Succulent Garden on June 7 at Rail Park, an event that will be open to 50 people.
