NEWELL-Summer is almost here and the days will be filled with activities! There will be an Open House Meet & Greet at 9:30 a.m. on April 26 at the Dakota Life Christian Center to learn about a new adventure coming to the Newell area.
Shepherd’s Flock Learning Center, located at Dakota Life Christian Center, 321 Fisk Ave. in Newell will be sponsoring a Preschool Summer Day Camp June 9-12 and June 16-19 with morning and afternoon classes. Registration is $10 and the camp fee is $46 a week. You can save $6 if registered by May 15.
The Open House will introduce the public to the newly developed Shepherd’s Flock Learning Center that will begin in the fall of 2025. Planning started four years ago as the vision and under the guidance of Pastor Terri DuttonBlanchett. Lisa Blanchett, who will be the Preschool teacher caught the vision and has come alongside Pastor Blanchett. Lisa has been part of education field for many years and brings her experience to the school.
The Preschool Summer Day Camp will fill in the need for younger children who are eager to learn with faith-based activities. The first week of the Summer Camp will be centered around dinosaurs, the second week highlights jungle animals. There will be hands-on activities, arts and crafts, and faith-based lessons.
It will be a wonderful summer experience for the little ones to enjoy! Join the group on April 26, 9:30 a.m. at Dakota Life Christian Center, Fourth and Fisk Streets, Newell.
