BELLE FOURCHE—Imagine earning your share of $100,000 for just over 30 seconds of work. This past week Slone Weishaar, Belle Fourche and his team roping partner, Cannin Carson, Grassy Butte, ND pulled off this feat at the 2025 Wrangler Bob First Invitational Hooey Junior 10.5 Team Roping Championship at the Lazy E Arena in Guthrie, Oklahoma.

Consistency paid off, after four rounds of roping and a total time of 30.71 seconds the duo slid into first place. Beating out 464 other teams—the largest Junior BFI in history—Weishaar and Carson were named 2025 Wrangler BFI Week Hooey Junior 10.5 Team Roping Champions!

This title came with a cash award of $100,000 to be split between the header and heeler. In addition to the cash, Weishaar won a prize package that included a Cactus Saddle, a Gist Buckle, a Hooey Backpack, a SMARTY Roping Super Shorty, Resistol Hat, a Best Ever Pad, a Cactus Breast Collar, Turtlebox Speakers, Justin Boots, Fast Back Rope Bag, and a Boot Barn gift card.

Sern Weishaar, Belle Fourche, SD and Jet Jensen, Belle Fourche, SD also competed in the 2025 Wrangler Bob First Invitational Hooey Junior 10.5 Team Roping Championship and each earned an impressive amount of cash as well. Jet Jensen, heeler and his partner Cashin Carson, Grassy Butte, ND finished 10th overall with a total time of 37.44 on four head and a $5,000 payout.

Slone and Sern Weishaar partnered up to finish 17th overall with a time of 39.44 on four head, earning $1,500.

Other money earned went to Jet Jensen for 3rd place with a time of 6.48 in fastest time for rotation 2 earning $1,000, and in rotation 3 fast times went to 2nd place with a 6.40 time, Slone Weishaar and Cannin Carson earning $2,000 and 3rd with a 6.84 time, Sern Weishaar and his roping partner Hayes Burress, Isabel, SD earning $1,000.
