The helpful ladies of the Nisland-Arpan Search and Rescue Auxiliary served up delicious baked potatoes and toppings at the recent fund raiser held at the Nisland Fire Department. Toppings included corned beef and cabbage, hamburger gravy, cheese, broccoli, sausage gravy, white chili, corn chowder, and buffalo ranch burger.
The hall was filled several times with hungry area residents. Conversations flowed and stories were exchanged as the dinner was enjoyed. Midway through the fundraiser, Fire Chief Lewis drew the winner of the burn barrel. Aaron Lindskov will be taking the large enclosed barrel home.
This is the 15th year for the Potato Topper Supper and every year folks look forward to tasting the handiwork of the Auxiliary.
