PaleoAdventures Marks 20th Anniversary

Belle Fourche News Other Local News

20 years ago in March, Walt & Heather of PaleoAdventures set off on a wild and crazy, but oh so much fun adventure.

“ March 16, twenty years ago we established our independent commercial paleontology opera- tion and went solo. Both of us left great jobs that we loved. Both of us knew it was going to be an insane amount of work. Both of us knew how stressful and difficult it would be.

From the “Raptors Nest Inn”, which gave us a home and an income while we built up the paleontology and tour company to Field Station #1 (aka. my “one black hill of the Black Hills” to Field Station #2 (aka “The pirate ship”) to our newest project the Dinosaurs of the Hell Creek Museum, its been a blast.

20 years later I would not have changed a thing. Every mistake was a learning experience. Every roadblock a new challenge to creatively overcome. Every turn of the path a new direction few have dared to travel. Today we are on the cusp of creating a new dinosaur museum that is sure to wow kids for years and years to come. What a ride!

Our company and the freedom that it has given us, would not exist without the efforts of so many friends and family… I cannot count you all. Without the help of you and all of our fans, friends, family, land owners, clients and guests we would not be here. Thank you all for letting us do what we love. “ (from FB)

Join them for their Chamber Mixer/open house of the new facility April 17 4:30 to 6:30.
