BUTTE COUNTY-Kathy Wood wore many hats during her lifetime and her presence was missed during the Butte/Lawrence County Fair this year. Her family honored her memory at the Sheep Show held Thursday. Abbie Culver, Kathy’s granddaughter, gave a very fitting presentation to the Supreme Champion Sheep showman.
Kathy was always involved with kids and 4H, willing to give a helping hand whenever and wherever it was needed. One of her favorite parts of the fair was the sheep show. She spent time encouraging the youngsters and helping them to be their very best.
She was an amazing woman and to honor her the family wanted to present the “best shower” a buckle to signify all their hard work.
