Jorabeels Bakery Now Open

Newell News

NEWELL—Saturday, July 20 was the grand opening of Jorabeels Bakery and Market, a new baked goods store in Newell. Located at 110 E. 9th Street in Newell, the bakery boasts an outdoor patio and seating area along with a cozy indoor space where you can find yummy treats ranging from Swiss rolls to scones and cannoli.

Rayne Morrow co-owns the bakery with her mother, Roxie Morrow. The duo moved their business from Rapid City in March, choosing Newell as their home base because they wanted a family-oriented business with more space and land. In fact, the name “Jorabeels” is an amalgamation of the first two letters of Rayne and her sisters’ names: Jolie, Bethany, and Elena.

Rayne said that they’ve been “very busy” with local farmer’s markets and taking orders. Her specialty is cannoli. She also said that the bakery takes orders and aims to cater for weddings in the future. “We will literally do anything,” she said.

Jorabeels Bakery and Market is open Fridays and Saturdays from 7 am to 12 pm. They plan to extend their hours once farmer’s market season is over, so keep an eye out and be sure to stop by for some delicious treats as soon as you can!
