NEWELL-Awareness is the key word for the Newell Irrigator Booster Club. The goal is to bring the school and students to the forefront of activities in this area and the committed adults of the Booster Club are endeavoring to make it happen.
During the second meeting of the group, officers were elected and committees were set up to accomplish the goal. Keegan Ahart was elected as Chair, Liz Oliver as Vice Chair, Jackie Clements is Secretary, Katie Donahey as Treasurer, and Juanita Pittman was chosen as a Member at Large.
The officers will oversee the workings of the group and approve the implementation of decisions.
Several committees were formed to move the organization forward. Members of the committees will need to be approved by the Booster Club officers. The Appropriations Committee will be chaired by Teresa Pittman. Nicole Jones is the Membership Chair, Julie VanDerBoom will chair the Merchandise Committee, and Betty Bruner will chair the Media/Publicity Committee.
Committees will work in tandem to expand the knowledge and energy of the Newell Irrigators. Eventually, the Newell Irrigator Booster Club will be able to supply needs to the various entities of the school. Not only will the focus be on athletics, but on Drama, Music, and various events that happen at the school. Monies will be collected through some fundraisers but primarily through the LiveTicket advertising sales. LiveTicket will broadcast events from the school, including games, concerts, and graduation among showcases.
