More Than $18K Greater Belle Fourche Funds Awarded

BELLE FOURCHE –– More than $18,775 worth of First Interstate Greater Belle Fourche Funds were awarded to 19 local organizations.

The First Interstate Greater Belle Fourche Fund partnered with the South Dakota Community Foundation in 1989 as a way of supporting nonprofit and charitable projects and organizations in and around the community.

The fund is a permanent endowment with the South Dakota Community Foundation and managed by a local board of directors.

This year’s recipients primarily focused on the Belle Fourche and Butte County area, but also included one agency as far away as Carter County, Mont.

The organizations allocated funds include Belle Fourche Rec Center; Belle Silver Lining; Bronc Bird Busters; Northern Hills Area CASA; Center of the Nation Concert Association; Victims of Violence Intervention Program; Realtors for Kids; South Dakota West River Spay/Neuter Coalition; St. James Episcopal Church – Dental Mobile; BF Bronc Booster Club; Beaver Creek Rendezvous; Belle Fourche Parents Who Care; Belle Fourche Lions Club; Carter County Veteran’s Tribute; BF Chamber of Commerce; Newell Community Club; Town of Newell Museum; Shirley Speaks; and Spearfish Peaks – Peaks Special Olympics.
