Kevin Voyles, 71, of Belle Fourche passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at the Monument Health Spearfish Hospital.
He was born July 7, 1952 in Belle Fourche to Jack and Alyce Voyles. He lived his entire life in Belle Fourche. Kevin graduated from Belle Fourche High School in 1970 and then continued his education at Denver Automotive. While living in Colorado he worked for his uncle Bud at Conoco Car Care.
With his dad and brother Clayton, they owned and operated the dragstrip west of town. Kevin loved muscle cars and drag racing and enjoyed tinkering with his cars in his spare time. He co-owned and managed several parts stores and worked at several garages in Belle Fourche. He stepped away from owning the NAPA store because of health issues and embarked on a new career of being a grandpa. He took on the new title of “Papa” which he whole heartedly embraced.
He is survived by his wife Diane of 48 years; his son Cory and Tessa of Belle Fourche; two daughters, Brooke and Paul of Bismarck, ND and Danielle and Troy of Belle Fourche; grandkids, Jaxsyn, Aiden, Aurora, Asher, Gavyn, Iver, Harlow and Greya; his sister, Barb and Bob Anderson of Pierpont, SD and sisters and brothers-in-law and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Fredrick and Alyce and his brother Clayton. Visitation was held Monday, October 30th at Kline Funeral Chapel in Belle Fourche.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 31 at the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Belle Fourche with Reverend Chuck Aurand officiating. Interment followed at Pine Slope Cemetery in Belle Fourche.
